Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend was filled with lots of family time and lots of sun. Allie Hunter had spent the night Friday night at the farm with her Gigi and Paw Paw so Saturday Chad and I actually got to sleep in till 9. Wow-we needed that, forget what that feels like. We ran a few errands that morning, grabbed some breakfast at Waffle House and headed on down to the farm around lunch. Chad's aunt and his little twin cousins were down there when we arrived and of course AH was all wrapped up into the "GIRLS" as she calls them. We had surprised AH with a little kids Dora fishing pole and she was so estatic. She was ready to fish. We seriously fished from around 2-6. Or I should say Aunt Tricia and I did while the kids played inside most of the time while Gigi was preparing supper. Someone had to catch the fish right ?!?! I could sit out there all day long and fish at the farm. We caught several catfish, brem and bass. I couldn't wait for supper. We had fried fish, fried shrimp, grilled fish, grilled shrimp, hushpuppies, french fries, coleslaw, deviled eggs and a few other sides. YUMMY !! Just what I had been craving for weeks. The next morning JD rode down and while AH rode the golf cart to see the horses I went fishing with Chad and JD in the boat. Then after some skeet shooting we were finally heading home. We were all 3 exhausted. We ended up getting showers and having a family movie night at home. AH picked out The Fox and the Hound, I forgot how sad that movie was. I mean what do you tell your 3 year old when she ask " Why his Mommie not come back " really Walt Disney ?!?!

Monday morning we all 3 actually slept in till 8:30. We were worn out from the past 2 days at the farm. Once we all got going we headed straight to Mimi and Poppys house to swim in the pool. Poppy grilled us a delicious lunch and we seriously stayed outside in the pool from around 10:30-3:30. AH had a blast and wanted to stay in the pool the entire time. She was like my little fishy. I finally made AH lay down for a nap and we had to wake her up at 6. The sun and swimming can really wear you out.

Happy Birthday Allie Hunter !

Tuesday May 21

So I'm gonna start off by saying where has the past 3 years gone ? Seriously I feel like time has snuck past me. How did my baby grow so fast..

She went from this..
Only one day old.
To this..

1 year old
To this..

2 years old
To this now..

3 years old.

Time has sure flown by. Allie Hunter has changed so much in the past year. I have loved every minute of it and being able to watch her fit into her little personality has been so amazing. Every day with her is a journey and I am so thankful to be able to watch her grow up into a sweet little girl.

Her actual birthday was on a school day. So we woke up like any other day and got ready for school/work. She asked for sweet tea, the child has never really asked for sweet tea especially not for breakfast. Well..I couldn't say no it was her birthday. So off to school we were with her sweat tea in hand. I had promised her I would bring her and her sweet friends some pizza and sweets for lunch to school. I was able to sneak out of work little before my lunch break and join my birthday girl for a little party with her friends at school. I took Hungry Howies pizza, cupcakes and ice cream. Her little friends were all so excited.

After work/school Allie Hunter had to go for her 3 year old check up. Didn't realize till the day before her appt was on her acutal birthday but thank goodness it was a NO shot check up. She's perfectly healthy, right on track and above on somethings. Afterwards we headed across the street for some "white ice cream with gummie bears". That evening Chad and I took her to eat her favorite food, beans at Jalapenos. On the way home we had told Allie Hunter that Daddy and Mommie had her birthday present and she was sooo excited the entire ride home. Once we got home Chad pulled it out in the driveway for her to see.

This was her first reaction when she got out of the car. Her little eyes were so big and she just didn't know what to say. Then she finally said "MY BIG 4-WHEELER" haha Tried to explain to her it was a jeep.

Allie Hunter was so excited. She kept looking at us smiling with those big ol' dimples. She would drive about 10 feet stop and get out and say "Oh, I gotta fix my car" It was so cute. I think her favorite part was just opening the door and getting in and out.

This was one of those times she said "Oh, I gotta fix my windows" then after that we had to go inside and find her baby to ride with her.

Allie Hunter, Mommie and Daddy can not believe you are already 3. We love you so much and hope your birthday was everything and more !!!!!

Allie Hunter's 1st Fish

Sunday May 19

This past Sunday Chad had to go to his farm to return his dads trailor so he decided to take AH with him. Mommie on the other hand went over to Mimi and Poppy's house and got some relaxation out by the pool. For those of you who have little kids know there is no such thing as laying out when your kids are around. So I took this time fully to my advantage and enjoyed some ME time. While they were down at the farm AH of course got to do all her favorite things. Pet the horses, feed the animals and collect the chicken eggs. This trip though her daddy also took her fishing in the pond behind the farm house. He said she had a blast and she even caught her very 1st fish. She was so proud and so was Mommie and Daddy.

Allie Hunter's 3rd Birthday Party

Saturday May 18

This past Saturday we had Allie Hunter's 3rd Birthday Party at the Tuscaloosa Barnyard. She has become so obsessed with animals that I figured this was the perfect place. So many of her sweet friends came out to celebrate with us and she was so excited to see them all when they started arriving. Mrs.Kami that heads the party was so AWESOME. She had the kids constantly busy for little over an hour. They got to start off feeding the fish and the ducks bread, go on a little boat ride around the pond, feed the baby pig milk in bottles, feed all the other animals food, hold the baby chickens/ducks/bunnies and even got to ride the little pony. I believe Allie Hunter's favorite part was riding the pony and getting to brush the ponys hair. She looked like a natural. Then it was time for some yummy cake/ice cream and present opening. We are so thankful for all her wonderful friends and our families for being able to come out and help us celebrate. Can't believe this was her 3rd birthday party :( I'm one emotional Mommie.

She wasn't to excited about everyone singing "happy birthday" to her. But I was proud of her for blowing out her candles, considering last year she about had a come apart and clawed my neck when she saw the fire on the candles.

This is all this child asked for was a horse cake. Thank you Frosted Brush (Jennifer Parker) for making her sweet little wish come true. You have been so awesome for helping make her birthdays special. I hope to continue the tradition.

Also some adorable cupcakes she made. They were sooooo Yummy !! They almost look to cute to eat.

Happy Birthday to our sweet little sassy cowgirl !

Present time

She was not happy about having to leave the Barnyard. She was overdue for a nap so needless to say Mommie didn't get her turn for a picture with AH.
