TIme Out

So for the past few weeks Allie Hunter has been obsessed with playing "pretend time out."  I"ll walk in her room and she'll have Dora, baby doll, etc...sitting in the corner and when I walk in she'll say "they in time out mommie" and won't even let me walk near them. You cant even look at them. There for the first few days I got concerned maybe she had been going to time out at school and I'd ask her and she say "I not go in time-out." Her daily sheets at school are always circled that she had a GREAT day. So surely AH couldn't be lying. haha So I asked her teacher one day and she just laughed and was like no if she did go we would tell you. Well must be some other kids going to time out here lately and Miss. Noisy AH is gonna take in everything that happens. So pretty much to sum it all up she has started telling me and her daddy to go to time out. She just does it random, we can walk into her room and she'll say "daddy sit here, you in time out" and Chad will ask her why and her response is "shhh..you time out." Needless to say I've only been sent to time out 1 time, Daddy on the other hand has gone in time out on several occasions. Glad its all fun in games now but just waiting on the day  when she gets mad or doesn't get her way and then tries to send us to time out. AND OH BOY, I feel that happening very soon. She's a mess a doesn't miss a beat. Not sure if she's gonna understand what REAL time out is all about.

Weekend Update

This was by far an AMAZING weekend cause we did NOTHING. We had nothing planned or no where we had to be. Just what we needed since the past several weekends we were either on the go or out of town at beach. Friday when I got off work I got to run errands childless. (those of you that have kids understand this is a privilege) I decided I wasn't in mood to cook so I just picked us all up supper on the way home. That night I talked Chad into helping me clean the whole house so we could get it over with. Didn't take us no time working together. Thank goodness Allie Hunter was so sweet and just played in her room while we cleaned, she was an angel. Saturday morning we woke up and Chad fixed us breakfast. It was so yummy, had ham, biscuits and eggs.Chad had some yard work to do me and AH decided to go with mom to the mall and do some shopping. Not sure why I still take stroller in cause all she wants to do is put her baby in it and push it. So took us forever in mall with her having to push stroller everywhere. We could convince her some to get in it but didn't last long. After mall trip we headed back home and we were both pooped. Shopping wore both of us out. We didn't get home till around 3 so we layed down for a late nap and both woke up after 5:30. My parents had invited us over to eat supper, they were grilling out steaks and of course it was delicious. We didn't end up going to bed till close to 11 cause we took such a late nap. Sunday morning we went to church. This was a plus for us since we've been out of town several of the past Sundays and haven't been able to attend. After church I was able to talk Chad into taking us to Cypress Inn. Another great lunch. AH was determined she wasn't going to nap that day. I guess her 20 minute cat nap in the car was all she thought she needed. That night Aunt Jen Jen and JD came over to grill and we used our fire pit for the first time to make smores. AH wouldn't try one all she wanted to do was just eat the Hersey's chocolate. Gotta love her.

Second Beach trip of the Summer

This past weekend we headed down to the beach again. We went with my family to Orange Beach. We had a blast. Chad, Me, Allie Hunter, JD and Jennifer didn't leave till Thursday afternoon after we all got off work. So we didn't get down there till around 10ish. AH did so good riding down to the beach. I have captain seats in the middle of my SUV so we decided to stick AH in the 3rd row in the middle and she LOVED it. She could see out the front window at all the cars and big trucks as she would say. We rigged up her DVD so it would sit on middle console in between front and passenger seat so she could watch some movies. Jennifer and I sat in the captain seats in the middle and I was determined we weren't watching Dora the whole way down. So thank goodness we ended up watching 101 Dalmations, Charlotte's Web, and Happy Feet. AH watched all 3 and loved them, cause there were some sort of animal in each of them and she's fascinated with animals. Since we didn't arrive till late Thursday we hit the beds shortly after arriving.

Friday morning we woke up and it was pouring, thundering and lightening. Very disappointing day and very ugly. So we got up and decided to go eat breakfast at Ducks Diner. It was of course very delicious. My favorite place to eat breakfast at. After breakfast we went over to my cousins house and some of us went to the outlets since there wasn't anything else to do but shop and spend money :) I finally got my Michael Kors purse that I have been wanting for months and months. YAY ME !! When we got back to the condo the sun finally came back out and we hit the beach for the afternoon. There were so many people on the beach. Guess once the rain stopped everybody had the same idea. That not we all went out to eat together at The Original Oyster House and of course it was AWSOME. After dinner we all went to the track. I wanted to take AH there so she could ride some rides and enjoy it. Well once we got there JD, Joseph and my dad decided they wanted to do the sky coaster. GOD LOVE THEM. They did it all right after waiting in line over an hour. So while they waited we went to the kiddie park and AH had a blast. She didn't want to get off the rides and she couldn't get to another one fast enough. She was in Heaven.

AH loved riding the horses just because it was a horse and she's obsessed with them. But didn't want to ride them again cause it wasn't fast enough. She gets her thrill for rides from ME !!!

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed to the beach it was a beautiful and perfect day. My cousin and her fiancee J came over to hang out with us. We literally stayed on the beach all day from about 9:30-till around 5ish. AH thought the ocean was her "BIG POOL" she loved it, she thought it was so much fun when the waves came up on you. We went to the actual pool a few times but she wanted to stay in the "BIG POOL" so we but her floaties on and she played in the ocean. I was surprised I even got her to nap on the beach chairs but of course didn't last but about 45 minutes. But guess that's all she needed cause she was ready to go play when she woke up.

After hanging on the beach all day we ended up taking fast showers and we just walked next door to grab something fast to eat and listen to some music at Flora-Bama. There wasn't many people there thank goodness since we had to take AH with us. Felt sorta weird taking AH in there but it wasn't crowded yet with people. She had a blast though, she loved dancing up front by the stage.

We had to leave by 8:30 since we had AH with us. So Chad and I just took her across the street to get her some choc. ice cream, that was how we had to bribe her to leave. She didn't want to leave. Everybody else stayed and enjoyed the music.

Sunday morning we all woke up pretty early to finish packing and cleaning so we could head back home. Chad, me, Jennifer, JD and Allie Hunter all stopped at Tacky Jacks to eat breakfast and made a stop back by the outlets one last time before heading back to Tuscaloosa. Our tripped seemed short, but it was alot of fun. Until next years trip........

July 4th

On July 4th we had just a chilled out, swimming kind of day. We woke up that morning and went Mimi and Poppys pool. We got there around 9:30 and immediately got into the pool. My whole family was there and even my Anne Anne, cousin Lena and her bf Drew. We had a wonderful time. It was so hot that we all pretty much stayed in the pool all day and never got out except to eat lunch. My dad had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and we also had corn on the cob, baked beans, broccoli, chips and several different kinds of dips. It was all very delicious. Allie Hunter had a blast. She was like a little fish. She wanted to swim all by herself with her floaties on and "tick" (kick). She jumped off the side of the pool numerous times and even got brave and didn't even want you to help her she jumped, went under and came up all by herself. She also surprised us and jumped off the diving board. My big little girl. I was such a proud mommie. I guess swimming lessons have payed off.

We ended up leaving my parents around 4 heading home. AH was so tired and didn't nap great at Mimi and Poppys house. We also had to get back home to start packing for the beach since we were leaving next day for. Right when we started getting dark we took AH outside to play with sparklers. She was okay with the sparklers as long as I was holding them. But the big fireworks chad did she was terrified. So needless to say we didn't shoot for many. Hopefully she'll grow out of this fear of fire.

First Beach Trip of Summer

This past weekend was a great weekend for Chad and I. We got to go with Jennifer and JD to Pensacola Beach. Chad and I left Thursday night when I got off work and after AH's swim lesson. We were sad to leave AH behind but was looking forward to a relaxing weekend just worrying about US and not someone else. Friday morning we woke up and we all fixed breakfast and headed down to the beach. We spend most of day at beach. It was gorgeous and there was a wonderful breeze all day long. The ocean was gorgeous too, no seaweed or jellyfish. We found some beautiful shells and 3 good size sand dollars. Perfect Beach day. That night we all went and ate dinner at Crabs ( which was delicious ) and very proud of JD and Jennifer for trying a raw oyster. ( wasn't as bad as they thought ) After dinner we went and all played putt putt golf. It was so much fun. Which of course JD won. Who would have thought........Afterwards we just headed back home and chilled out there. We were all so worn out from being out in the sun all day.

Saturday we woke up and fixed breakfast again. Chad and JD went out and practiced hitting golf balls in the bay. Jennifer and I "TRIED" needless to say but golfing is not in my future. JD's dad took us out on the boat all day Saturday. We had a blast. We rode over to Gulf Shores to Pirates Cove to eat lunch and chill in the water for a little bit. Some random guy driving by on a boat screamed at Chad "SUNBLOCK" cause he was fried. So the rest of the trip Chad's nickname was sunblock. Bless him. We also rode over to a bridge and all jumped off of the big concrete blocks right under. Must be a popular thing cause it was packed of people doing it. We didn't get back home till late that afternoon so we all rushed to take showers and just went and did some shopping ( I promised AH I'd bring her back a stuffed animal,Alligator ) and just relaxed at the Grand Marlin listening to some music. The guys playing were amazing. It was so relaxing. We stayed there forever think we were like the last ones to leave. We enjoyed our trip so much but was glad to get home Sunday to see sweet baby girl. This weekend we are heading down to Gulf Shores with my family so I'm excited about AH playing on the beach and enjoying this trip with her.
