Weekend Update-Family Time

Please read previous post about Friday ... Our adventure with a new puppy !!

Saturday we woke up early and rode back down with my mom to my Toto's to visit. My cousin Ashley and her husband J were coming through. We haven't seen them since Christmas and I was so excited to see them. My Anne Anne "Man"-as AH calls her and my other cousin Lena also came down. We had a blast getting to visit and catch up.  Always love getting to see and hang out with my family.

That afternoon we headed home to take a nap. We were both so exhausted. Later that night we headed over to Mimi and Poppy's house to visit. Uncle JoJo even came over with several of his friends and his puppy Tripp and Aunt Jen Jen and JD came too. More great family time!!

Sunday we woke up early and got ready for Church. We were actually ready before normal time to go so we headed to Krispy Kreme before. The sermon was another great topic. Conflict-How to have a good fight. Can't wait for more discussion on it Thursday at small group. After church we headed straight home to change to head down to the farm. We ate a celebration lunch for Paw Paw since his birthday was in 2 days and AH also got to ride horses !!

Samson

Friday Chad and I just decided we wanted to get Allie Hunter a dog. Also so when weather got prettier Duke would have someone to play with outside and keep him company while we were at work during week. I have always said my next dog would be a Golden doodle. They are soooo hard to find anywhere near here and most people sell them anywhere from $700-$1500. Yeah they are so crazy. Well we just happened to find one in the Tuscaloosa Paper and they lived in Ralph AND at an awesome price (to good to pass up) We had originally planned on going and getting this blonde female. We didn't tell AH tell we were a 100% decided and we were headed towards Ralph. She even had already came up with a name "Marleigh". WELL............We ended up leaving with a black male. The blonde female was so sweet and SHED (which she must have had more of the Golden Retriever in her) and she really wouldn't stud us. There was 5 black males and this one kept coming to Chad wanting to be loved on and every time Chad put him down he'd come right back. He was soooo super layed back just very chilled. Well AH immediately become attached and that was it. So as you can tell we named in Samson which when AH says his name sounds like "SIMPSON". She will tell you Levi is mommies dog, Duke is daddy's dog and Samson is her puppy. He is by far the sweetest thing EVER. Doesn't hardly even whine. I am so thankful for that cause this Momma likes her sleep :)

She insisted he sit in her lap on the way home, and he did. He just looked at her with those sweet little eyes like "thank you for picking me"
Samson already loves Allie Hunter

She was on cloud 9. So sweet seeing her sooo happy

Even though he is AH's dog he is soo my little buddy. Follows me EVERYWHERE.

He is suppose to be HUGE. He is only 7 weeks old here and is already over 9lbs.

Farm Fun

A couple of weekends ago we spent Saturday down at Chads farm in Akron. I wasn't feeling to good and debated on not going but wanted to spend some family time with Chad and AH so sucked it up and went, now I'm glad I did. AH got to pet the horses, feed the chickens and turkeys and of course her favorite ride the horses. She got to ride her favorite horse Oreo or as she calls her "REO" I actually sat out in the sun in a rocking chair and watched her and Chad ride. It was the sweetest thing to watch. AH was so happy and just loving every minute of it. She had this sweet little sparkle in her eyes. Melted my heart. Chad also had a good daddy-daughter bonding time. We ended up staying down there all afternoon and his parents cooked a delicious supper. We had Fried Chicken (now I've had homemade fried chicken tenders but don't think I have EVER had a homemade whole fried chicken) Felt like I was on the movie set of Big Mommas House seeing the Crisco on the counter. Also rice, cream corn, black eyed peas and some homemade biscuits. AH was worn slap out considering she didn't have a nap earlier in the day. She was asleep before we even got 2 miles down the road.
Oreo even wanted to pose for a picture

Allie Hunter didn't like me making them stop to take a picture

Park Play Date

So since it has been a while since I have taken AH to the park I decided to take advantage of this perfect Spring Day that we had at the first of February. We were trying to waste some time before dinner and church. We went to our favorite little park off of Lurleen Wallace.  We meet our sweet friends too, Emma Grace and Ella Raegan. Emma Grace unfortunately had to sit in time out for a little bit at the beginning for being ugly earlier in the day but she sat there with a smile on her face. God Bless her. All the girls had a blast playing together and of course Kelli and I got some catch up time together. After playing at the park we hit up El' Kmart for some wonderful Mexican food before heading to Wednesday Church service.
Sweet precious girl actually being an ANGEL

Weekend Update

February 1-3, 2013

First off Friday was Feb. 1 and I was able to upgrade my cell phone. YAY. Bye bye iPhone 3, hello iPhone 5. I have been waiting for this day for months. My iPhone has completely been dying on me lately. Seriously none of my apps were working except all the kid apps. So AH is proud to say she is a proud owner of my old phone. She thinks she's something special but she doesn't understand why she can't call nobody. Told you she doesn't miss a thing. Aunt Jen Jen and JD came over that evening to cook out. Mimi and JoJo stopped by for a little bit for a surprise visit.

Saturday I surprised Chad with an early Valentines/congratulations on his promotion with an one hour couples massage. It was SO relaxing. Really just what we both needed. Afterwards we had a breakfast date at Buddy's. Picked up AH and headed home to nap. That evening we had a much needed family night. We let AH pick what she wanted to eat and what movie she wanted to watch. So, pizza and "the horse" movie (tangled) it was. It was a very relaxing night. We need to start making time for more of those nights.

Sunday we went to church. Again as always it was an awesome message. We started a 6 week serious called "love story". Think it's gonna be one of those you don't wanna miss. After church we just grabbed some drive thru Taco Casa and headed home to eat and nap. Chad messed around with fire pit some more. That evening we rode over to Poppy's and Mimi's and watched some of the Super Bowl. GO RAVENS !!!!!
